You can hardly sleep because tomorrow is your first day as a classroom teacher. You arrive at school extra early, just to make sure you have everything ready. Your passion for teaching shines through in everything you say and do. You are determined to do whatever it takes to be the best teacher you can be. Now fast forward a couple of years. You dread hearing the alarm clock go off. You hit the snooze button 3 times, calculating what you can cut out of your morning schedule so you can still get to work on time. You feel the life force draining out of your body as you drive to work. You arrive to school just minutes before your students and you are already exhausted. There are stacks of papers waiting to be graded, phone calls to parents waiting to be made, meetings to go to that won’t accomplish anything but wasting your time. Not to mention the unrealistic expectations of the administration, unruly and under prepared students, and a lack of supplies. At the end of the school day, just before heading out for your part time evening job, you think to yourself, “I can’t take this anymore.” And you know what? You right!
What you need is someone to help you in your life, , and .
What you need is me. My name is Kathy Karlander and I am a certified and licensed Resilient Educator facilitator and educational consultant.

Peace,
Kathy Karlander
